Ham who called on him at Urugwiro Village.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, General Ham said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my second visit here as Commander of the United States Africa Command and this time I am here to attend a conference focused on youth programs bringing together 11 countries. The other aim of my visit is to meet with the President and senior military and civilian advisors to talk about partnership that exists between the militaries of our two countries. Rwanda and the US enjoy close Military to military relationship.\u201d <!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Cambria','serif';\">The Chief of General Staff, General Charles Kayonga said General Ham\u2019s visit is of great significance and manifests the existing relationship between the United States and Rwanda. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Cambria','serif';\">\u201cHe is here to open a regional conference discussing radicalism among the youth but we have also held discussions on cooperation between our militaries especially in the areas of professionalism and peacekeeping.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kigali, 23 January 2012 President Kagame today received the Commander of the United States African Command, General Carter F.
