The month long football tournament will take place from January 16 next year until February 7 in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming all the guests to Rwanda, President Kagame promised African football lovers a great CHAN championship.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cRwanda is honoured to host\u00a0the next African Nations Championship.\u00a0<\/em><em>We are going to have a great championship.\u00a0Sport is a teacher of values.\u00a0Focus, sacrifice, humility, teamwork, honesty.\u00a0Champions work hard, and they don\u2019t give up. But champions also have a big heart.\u00a0 Wherever we\u2019re from, whatever is going on around us, when there\u2019s\u00a0a big\u00a0competition on, we stop what we\u2019re doing, and we watch, together.\u00a0Football\u00a0belongs to everybody equally. Its\u00a0rules and values are universal.\u00a0That is why the players, and everyone else involved, are expected to be role models,\u00a0of excellence and sportsmanship.\u00a0Let\u2019s give the fans what they expect\u00a0and deserve.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Almamy Kabele, who represented the CAF President and FIFA acting President Issa Hayatou said that there was no doubt that CHAN 2016 would be a success, a true African football <em>fete<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Rwanda is pooled in <strong>Group A <\/strong>alongside Gabon, Morocco and Ivory Coast.
