{"id":4020,"date":"2015-03-25T22:12:07","date_gmt":"2015-03-25T22:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulkagame.com\/_test_&#038;web\/?p=4020"},"modified":"2017-09-27T07:56:38","modified_gmt":"2017-09-27T07:56:38","slug":"rwanda-s-transformation-is-about-believing-change-is-up-to-us-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=4020","title":{"rendered":"Rwanda\u2019s transformation is about believing change is up to us"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Kigali, 25 March 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Kagame today received over 20 students from Stanford University Graduate School of Business who are in Rwanda for a five-day study visit.<\/p>\n<p>The students whose background include a variety of sectors including telecom, finance, non profit and technology spoke to President Kagame about leadership, business as well as Rwanda\u2019s story of liberation.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the kind of leadership that allows Rwanda to move forward, President Kagame referred to inclusion as key:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a leader, including in business, you are better off if you care. We are making sure everybody is a stakeholder. We are in this together and we solve challenges together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>President Kagame added that past hardships are what motivate Rwandans hard work towards socio-economic transformation:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKnowing that you deserve better drives you to look for a solution and give you the motivation to have what it takes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a tweet following the meeting, President Kagame added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChallenges we faced as a nation are our motivation to transform lives of Rwandans.
