It is our responsibility to the people we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis retreat should redefine the way we work and serve our citizens and lead to results,\u201d President Kagame concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The last day of the retreat began with a panel discussion on challenges facing the health sector with presentations from Minister Binagwaho, MP Rose Mureshyankwano, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Isabelle Kalihangabo and Dr. Jean Dieudonne Gatsinga,The following panels discussed the need to increase protection for women and children and ended with a presentation of Rwanda\u2019s MICE strategy that aims to ensure Rwanda becomes a regional hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events or Exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The last day of the retreat discussed the following topics: Leaders\u2019 accountability-Rethinking the Government\u2019s Approach to Delivery; Reviewing the Performance of Health System and Enhancing Quality of Health Service Delivery; Accountability to women and Children for Sustained Development\u201d and Leveraging Public Private Parteneship to Tap the Full Potential of MICE Sector. The 12<sup>th<\/sup> National Leadership Retreat resolved to end the cycle of corruption by bringing those involved to justice, increasing access to water in rural areas, improving business environment to increase investment in infrastructure, improving health services and decreasing rates of malaria, increasing efforts to fight against gender based violence and improving the service sector to ensure the success of the MICE Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gabiro, 2 March 2015 Closing the 12th National Leadership Retreat, President Kagame called on all participants to apply the lessons of this year\u2019s gathering.\u201cLet us ensure that we do not leave these lessons behind.
