Davos, 22 January 2014<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This morning in Davos, President Kagame joined business leaders at a breakfast hosted by Hon. Tony Blair and Marc Holtzman. A traditional side event at the World Economic Forum, the meeting brought together business leaders to learn about the investment opportunities in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Rwanda\u2019s progress in the last twenty years, President Kagame explained to Ours has been a vision, identifying our challenges, having plans to address them and focus on activities that will benefit our people those present the mindset Rwanda continues to adopt:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a vision based on identifying our challenges, having plans to address them and focusing on activities that will benefit our people.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Kagame added that the tragedy Rwanda experienced history continues to serve as a lesson to ensure that history never repeats itself:<\/span><\/p>\n

“It\u2019s about the discipline and the mindset that can apply to turning challenges into opportunities and allow people to grow and move forward.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

President Kagame also encouraged all present to join Rwanda’s journey of transformation through partnerships that are both profitable and contribute to Rwanda’s priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

President Kagame ended the day with an interview with Al Jazeera’s Ali Velshi. During the three day meeting, President Kagame will also participate in sessions on Millennium Development Goals as well as a televised CNN session entitled “Can Emerging Markets Deliver Global Growth.” The session will be moderated by CNN Emerging Markets Anchor John Defterios. Participants will include Nouriel Roubini, NYU Economics and International Business Professor, Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of Renault Nissan Alliance and Ali Babacan, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs of Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s World Economic Forum is held under the theme of \u201cThe Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
