{"id":2827,"date":"2013-11-08T14:01:51","date_gmt":"2013-11-08T14:01:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulkagame.com\/_test_&#038;web\/?p=2827"},"modified":"2017-07-16T21:28:30","modified_gmt":"2017-07-16T21:28:30","slug":"we-have-a-common-responsibility-to-build-a-new-rwanda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=2827","title":{"rendered":"We have a common responsibility to build a new Rwanda"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kigali, 8 November 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Kagame today opened the \u2018Ndi Umunyarwanda\u2019 Cabinet Retreat.\u00a0 An initiative conceived from the YouthConnekt dialogue\u00a0and launched by young Rwandans, Imbuto Foundation, Art for Peace and the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, the\u00a0 two-day retreat is based on four main pillars; History, Testimonies, Forgiveness and Healing.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme \u201cCritically examining our dark history towards shaping a bright future: Leadership responsibility in driving \u201cNdi Umunyarwanda\u201d, the cabinet retreat will identify challenges to national building before 1994, emerging challenges and opportunities towards achieving Rwandan Spirit &#8220;Ubunyarwanda&#8221; and strategic options that require leadership awareness and commitment for &#8220;Ndi Umunyarwanda&#8221; to succeed.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks at the retreat President Kagame told cabinet members and invited guests present:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe aim of \u2018Ndi Umunyarwanda\u2019 is to discuss our problems as Rwandans and find sustainable solutions. We have a common responsibility to build a Rwanda.
