{"id":15966,"date":"2021-03-28T12:55:54","date_gmt":"2021-03-28T12:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paulkagame.com\/?p=15966"},"modified":"2021-03-28T12:56:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-28T12:56:34","slug":"26th-national-prayer-breakfast-remarks-by-president-kagame-28-march-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=15966","title":{"rendered":"26th National Prayer Breakfast | Remarks by President Kagame | 28 March 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Members of the Rwanda Leaders\u2019 Fellowship<\/li>\n<li>Ladies and Gentlemen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Warm greetings to all of you.<\/p>\n<p>I am glad that the prayer breakfast tradition continues, despite the pandemic restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>Even though we are preoccupied by Covid-19, it is right to take a moment to pray for what is most important for our country.<\/p>\n<p>We have a lot to be thankful for.<\/p>\n<p>We are especially grateful that Rwandans, working hand in hand with leaders, have managed to avoid the worst consequences of this disease.<\/p>\n<p>We are thankful for the vaccines that allow us to look forward to a future without Covid, and to rebuilding our economy.<\/p>\n<p>As leaders, this gathering is an opportunity to recommit to our respective missions, while seeking more strength and wisdom to serve our people.<\/p>\n<p>There is no doubt that Rwandans have been seriously affected by this pandemic, especially the most vulnerable among us.<\/p>\n<p>We must go about our duties with a heart for those we serve.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, I hope that today\u2019s prayer event will inspire all of us to raise our collective ambitions for our country.<\/p>\n<p>This will challenge us to do more and do it better, and make up for some of the time we have lost.<\/p>\n<p>That would surely be the best blessing for Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>I thank you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the Rwanda Leaders\u2019 Fellowship Ladies and Gentlemen Warm greetings to all of you.
