{"id":15807,"date":"2020-12-14T10:15:11","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T10:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/197.243.16.164\/revamp\/?p=15807"},"modified":"2021-01-12T10:15:28","modified_gmt":"2021-01-12T10:15:28","slug":"60th-anniversary-of-oecd-remarks-by-president-kagame-14-december-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=15807","title":{"rendered":"60TH ANNIVERSARY OF OECD | Remarks by President Kagame | 14 December 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Warm greetings to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am delighted to join you in marking the 60th anniversary of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thank Secretary General Angel Gurr\u00eda for the invitation, and I commend you for your distinguished tenure at the helm of this organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OECD\u2019s signature is its use of evidence-based policy to improve economic and social well-being worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its focus on inclusive, private-sector development is much-needed, particularly for Africa\u2019s industrialisation agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As countries make plans to recover from the Covid pandemic, it is important that everyone is brought along, no matter the level of development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a new member of the OECD Development Centre, Rwanda appreciates the opportunity to learn from best practices, and also share the lessons of our development journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Africa and Rwanda, we look forward to continued dialogue and collaboration with the OECD, in pursuit of prosperity and opportunity for our people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once again, our congratulations and best wishes for this 60th anniversary.
