Thank you all for coming.<\/p>\n<p>As the newest Commonwealth member, Rwanda is honoured to host next year\u2019s Heads of Government Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to welcoming the entire Commonwealth family to Kigali next June.<\/p>\n<p>I thank the Chair-in-Office and the Secretary-General for their guidance and support throughout the planning process.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is to bring a fresh perspective on our core themes of trade, good governance, and equality.<\/p>\n<p>Young people are the Commonwealth\u2019s greatest asset.<\/p>\n<p>We must guarantee them equal access to the technology and skills needed to get good jobs, and even start their own businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister, I commend your focus on education, particularly girls\u2019 education.<\/p>\n<p>This issue is close our hearts in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to working with you, and like-minded leaders, to ensure equality in education.<\/p>\n<p>Rwanda is proud to belong to the Commonwealth of Nations.<\/p>\n<p>The consensus around the Commonwealth\u2019s fundamental political values, shows that cooperation remains the best way to build a better and more equal world, for everybody.<\/p>\n<p>I thank you, once again, and look forward to welcoming you in Rwanda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Right Honourable, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Commonwealth Chair-in-Office Excellencies, Heads of State and Government Right Honorable, Baroness Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen Good evening.
