{"id":13882,"date":"2018-11-29T07:14:32","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T07:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulkagame.com\/?p=13882"},"modified":"2018-12-03T07:04:12","modified_gmt":"2018-12-03T07:04:12","slug":"president-kagame-in-buenos-aires-for-g20-leaders-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=13882","title":{"rendered":"President Kagame in Buenos Aires for G20 Leaders\u2019 Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Buenos Aires, 29 November 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Kagame has arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the invitation of President Mauricio Macri to participate in the G20 Leaders\u2019 Summit where as serving chairperson of the African Union, he is\u00a0expected to speak\u00a0at a working lunch on \u201cPutting People First\u201d to discuss technology, youth jobs and women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>Held under the theme \u2018Building Consensus for Fair and Sustainable Development,\u2019 the two day Summit is\u00a0where the largest economies of the world are provided a space for leaders to engage in\u00a0discussions on the most significant and\u00a0relevant global issues. It brings together 19\u00a0countries and the EU. Also in attendance are countries\u00a0chairing key regional groupings like\u00a0AU (Rwanda), ASEAN(Singapore), NEPAD (Senegal) and\u00a0CARICOM\u00a0(Jamaica).<\/p>\n<p>President will also hold a tripartite meeting ahead of the summit with President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa and President Macky Sall of Senegal as the Chair of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Major key priorities of the African continent to be highlighted at the forum include:\u00a0increase continent\u2019s\u00a0level of engagement\u00a0with the G20,\u00a0strengthen G20\u2019s commitments to Africa\u2019s Agenda 2063\u00a0and\u00a0a\u00a0greater integration of African economies in\u00a0the global economy.<\/p>\n<p>Rwandan and Argentinian Ministers of Foreign Affairs signed a cooperation agreement at the G20 MOFA meeting in May in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>President Macri will host a Leaders\u2019 dinner for all attending Heads of State.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Buenos Aires, 29 November 2018 President Kagame has arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the invitation of President Mauricio Macri to participate in the G20 Leaders\u2019 Summit where as serving chairperson of the African Union, he is\u00a0expected to speak\u00a0at a working lunch on \u201cPutting People First\u201d to discuss technology, youth jobs and women\u2019s empowerment.
