{"id":13057,"date":"2018-07-12T13:46:20","date_gmt":"2018-07-12T13:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulkagame.com\/?p=13057"},"modified":"2018-07-12T13:47:32","modified_gmt":"2018-07-12T13:47:32","slug":"president-kagame-meets-with-young-presidents-organization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulkagame.rw\/2025\/?p=13057","title":{"rendered":"President Kagame meets with Young Presidents&#8217; Organization"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Kigali, 12 July 2018<\/p>\n<p>President Kagame today met with 80 members of the Young Presidents\u2019 Organization (YPO) who are on a visit to Rwanda as part of the Organization\u2019s Rwanda Life Changing Experience trip.<\/p>\n<p>The Young Presidents\u2019 Organization is the largest global network of business leaders with more than 24,000 members in 130 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the meeting, President Kagame highlighted that Rwanda\u2019s transformation journey continues as the country has left the emergency situation behind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are no longer trying to survive, we are living. We started by investing in people, health, education, security, and stability. The challenge for us is how we sustain this progress. How do we reach everyone, make sure people can feed themselves and that we are getting investments that make everything sustainable,\u201d President Kagame said.<\/p>\n<p>The President also explained Rwanda\u2019s openness to doing business, and pointed out that investors are always welcome to invest in Rwanda, \u201cBecause Rwanda works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am always uncomfortable that we would want to be seen as having lessons for others. We first have lessons for ourselves.
